Who founded Tenzen?
Tenzen was founded by Aditya Sharma in 2020. He studied at the Tokyo Design Academy in Harajuku, and the brand was built around the audience he was already part of.
The Harajuku years
Aditya studied design at the Tokyo Design Academy in Harajuku. Streetwear in that scene read as expression, not costume. People dressing as ideas, not references. That period shaped how Tenzen thinks about clothing.
Chapter one: Tokyo Rebels
The first version of the brand, Tenzen: Tokyo Rebels, launched in 2020. It questioned the society it shipped to. It ran until late 2024 and reached 200,000 followers on Instagram and 5,000 plus customers across the world.
The reset
By the end of 2024 the chapter was paused. The next thing had to come from a different angle. Tenzen relaunched in 2026 with a sharper voice and the same audience-first instinct. The suffix was dropped. Just Tenzen.
What he builds around
Aditya builds Tenzen for the Tenzen Angels: people who notice references, who get pop culture without needing it explained. The pieces are downstream of that audience.
